Work at Home Guides

Are you in the telecommuting industry? Are you hoping to break into the telecommuting industry? I have put together a lot of quality telecommuting information just for you and I add to this page often! Information from how to find jobs, keywords to use, job sites to use, how to spot a scam, what to include on your resume, using freelance websites and much more!

Telecommuting Opportunity: It's tough to find employment in today's job market, especially if a person lacks a formal education or has minimal work experience.  Still, even without such background deficits, attempts to find home-based employment may be fruitless at best, financially and emotionally draining at worst.

Telecommuting Career: Every so often, when I post a job lead on my web site or in my newsletter, I receive a response from a reader without a cover letter or resume.  That frustrates me.  Not because I'm offended.  It's because I know that until this person develops a professional attitude about working from home it's likely he will never get hired.

Telecommuting Jobs at Home: It seems everyone wants to do it:  Work from home, that is.  Whether it's being able to work in their pajamas, or getting to spend some extra time with their children, something is prompting people to consider giving up their day job to look for this "alternative" form of employment.  The only problem seems to be actually finding a work-from-home job!   Where are these companies that have openings for telecommuters?  And how does one go about finding them?

Telecommuting Article: The first place most job seekers look when they want to find employment is in their local newspapers. However, if you find even one legitimate work-from-home job ad there, you'll be lucky. Companies rarely advertise at-home positions in newspapers.

Work from Home Scam: I've been scammed plenty of times.  And I do mean plenty!  By now, I can smell a scam a mile away.  Right?  Well, not always.  It seems that the smarter I get the smarter the scammers seem to get.  But when I decided that I wanted (needed) to work from home, I knew that I didn't want (or need) to pay tens or hundreds of dollars to get a job.
