If you think you'd like to learn more about telemarketing jobs at home, don't let the bad reputation telemarketers seem to have dissuade you. Telemarketing is one of the most regulated industries, and telemarketers are highly trained to comply with the law.

By 2009 telemarketing will have grown to a business that generates nearly $500 billion each year. Becoming a business to business telemarketer will make you part of a lucrative industry whose sales were upwards of $220 billion last year and projected for 2009 at slightly more than $268 billion.

Those who enjoy talking on the phone, have good people skills, think fast on their feet and have the "gift of gab" might do very well if they become a business to business telemarketer. You won't be contending with a phone list that's not complete, and very rarely will you ever encounter a hang up. You'll call instead on a business manager during business hours, selling them a business product. You may even be calling on the clients of your employer, or the firm your outsourcing firm contracted with, to tell these current customers about upgrades of the products. More often than not if you become a business to business telemarketer you'll be met with courtesy, genuine interest, and professionalism. You'll have extensive training and the knowledge and expertise required to carry out the professional job you have.
