New Product Launches

New Product Launches Anticipation: Great Marketing Technique

One of the best marketing techniques you can use to sell the products you create is by utilizing a marketing anticipation strategy. This is where you send out emails or newsletters to try and build interest in a product, so when the launch day finally comes, the consumer’s interest has been peaked and sales can be increased.

The strategy works by creatively grabbing a consumer’s attention. After a little bit, some more information about the product becomes available and the consumers gain more interest in the item. This process continues by building anticipation for the product little by little, so that by the time it’s launched, the marketing anticipation is so high that you’ve boosted sales easily just on the first day.

The reason why it works so well is that it keeps the item fresh on a consumer’s mind. Other products can be seen once or twice and then it’s forgotten. Without another word about it, there’s little chance they will remember that it even exists. By using the anticipation strategy you can keep reminding them of the product, thereby increasing their interest in it.

To make your anticipation strategy work for your product, you will want to talk about it on a blog or send out some emails for those opt in email addresses letting them know about the product and its launch date.

Another way to help build interest is to provide a freebie item prior to the launch date. Who wouldn’t like a free item? Items could be a free list of tips on something, calendar downloads, and audio clips on an expert in the field or checklist of items relating to the subject your product falls under.

You could also create a contest for one or more lucky people to win the product for free. You could send out a newsletter or email letting people know of the contest and the rules etc. prior to the launch date to keep the item fresh in people’s minds. It could also peak enough interest for the people that don’t win the contest to buy the product anyway.

Offer some audio clips of testimonials from others who’ve checked out the product. You can have it on a sales letter page in written form, but audio clips of those testimonials can make them seem more lifelike and trustworthy if they can hear the voice of the person stating their testimonial.

There’s no better way to keep reminding people that your product is out there and will soon be released than by using a marketing strategy that builds anticipation. The more consumers are reminded of a product, the more they will be willing to purchase it when the launch date finally comes around.
