Owning an eBay Business

An eBay Business consists of shopping and purchasing products cheaply
from wholesalers, or other sources, and sell them on for a profit on
eBay. You can sell anything from a pair of shoes to a car. A major
advantage of starting up an eBay business is that it is relatively
cheap to do so, and you shouldn't be left in major financial trouble
if it doesn't work out. The best way to see if you would like & be
good at this business is to sell your unwanted items (you could also
see if your family or friends have anything to get rid of).

Supplies you will need:

Computer Internet connection (preferably broadband)
Digital camera or access to images of the products you are selling.
Storage space for your items until they are sold
Optional idea:

If you decided to do a consignment business you don't buy any
merchandise. Instead, you get people to agree to let you sell their
merchandise for a commission. Unlike other businesses, you don't have
any worries about collecting your commission. That's because you make
the sale and collect all the money from the purchaser. Then you take
out your commission and send the rest of the money to the person who
retained you to sell their stuff.

Advertising:
Local advertising in newspapers, bulk mail post card size advertisements
to local business and other organizations, church bulletins, business
association meetings. Online - yahoo groups, websites, press releases, newsletters...etc
